The Old Stable is an ideal base for exploring upper Swaledale & beyond, by bike, foot or car. Darlington rail station is an hour's drive away. We are close to the Coast to Coast route. The cottage has:

• lovely walks from the doorstep & off road cycling close by, including the family friendly Swale Trail

• views of Swaledale moors, pasture and river, the best views being from the Living room & Main bedroom

• plenty of room indoors & the use of a small garden, visited by wildlife, enlivened by birdsong & some surprising plants

• calm decor, modern & traditional furniture, a solid fuel stove to keep you cosy, comfy beds (plus cot & high chair at no extra charge)

• on site parking for 1 car & covered bike storage available (please let us know when booking if you would like to use the store)

• freesat TV, Wifi , DVD & central heating throughout the cottage

We don't allow smoking in the cottage.

Dog owners may bring a small to medium size dog with them (no extra charge but please read the YOUR STAY page before booking).
